The Guelph Black Students Association invites you to join us for our Black History Month Book Club discussion on The Sleeping Car Porter by Suzette Mayr.
This book club offers an opportunity to dive into the rich history and compelling narrative of a novel that explores the lived experiences of Black railway porters in Canada. Through guided discussion, participants will engage with themes of resilience, community, identity, and history, while connecting with fellow students in a welcoming and interactive space.
Whether you are a literature enthusiast, interested in Black history, or simply curious about the novel, this session is designed to foster thoughtful conversation, shared learning, and meaningful connection.
