Student: “What’s your name?”
Lori: “I’m Lori. I’m the volunteer and resource coordinator at GRCGED.”
Lidia: “My name is Lidia Fourcans, and my position is outreach and organizational coordinator.”
Student: “How long have you been working here?”
Lori: “About 15 years.”
Lidia: “11 years.”
Student: “Why did you start working here?”
Lori: “I was really excited about, um, getting involved with a feminist organization, and doing that,
like as my job. That was really cool.”
Lidia: “Because I’m a feminist and I wanted to work at a feminist organization.”
Student: “And what’s your favourite part about this job?”
Lori: “The volunteers. I really love working with the volunteers here. They’re really dedicated, and I
get to learn about a lot of different students.”
Lidia: “Organizing events, workshops, and working with students, faculty members, and community
organizations.”
Student: “Cool. Thank you so much.”
Lidia: “Thank you.”

Today is Transgender Day of Remembrance where we honour those who’s lives have been lost due to anti-trans violence. We will be having a vigil from 4-6pm in Branion Plaza at the University of Guelph today. Everyone is welcome to attend and honour those whose lives were lost.
